US market entry for an international design brand.

Dupuis, an iconic award-winning Mexican design brand, which for decades has remained a pioneering influence for the interiors market was looking for geographic diversification with its expansion into the American market.

The Challenge

The client didn’t have previous experience on developing stores in the US, so we help them identifying a general contractor and consultants for the different phases of development.

Our involvement

Our role was to advise the client with the identification of the best retail locations for the brand in the Miami market, we provided insights on the neighborhood and areas that were proper for the brand to land, we conducted a competitive overview and connected the client with the major mall developers in Miami.

Results

With our help, the client signed long-term leases for three retail spaces in Aventura Mall, the Miami Design District and The Shops Merrick Park in Coral Gables. In partnership with a local broker we also sourced a 47,545 SF warehouse in a Miami industrial area for them to locate their showroom.
